Is it normal for my gums to bleed?

Is it normal for my gums to bleed?

"No. The body does not normally bleed. It is important to note because the bleeding is the first sign of gum disease. It can be seen only when brushing your teeth, but may be happening when biting off (e.g., an apple, a piece of bread, etc.), even at night, leaving traces on your pillow. In such cases, you must see your dentist, who may suggest an X-ray to see if your bone is damaged.

Remember that Gingivitis heals completely and Periodontitis can be stopped for all time. It depends on you to react as quickly as possible! I am not advising you to rely exclusively on commercially advertised care products. They will help you if the dentist has removed all the bacteria from your mouth; otherwise, you will only "mask" your problem for a while, slowing down the proper treatment. If the dentist determines that the case is complex, he will refer you to a periodontist."
